Tricia Gibo, Senior Human Factors Specialist at Emergo by UL, will lead a conference session at MEDI'NOV Connection 2020 in Lyon, France. Her presentation, "Applying usability engineering to medical device design" will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 23. The conference, which runs from June 23-24, brings together medical device manufacturers to network and discuss innovations and industry trends.

The application of usability engineering throughout the design and development process of a medical product can help the manufacturer to provide users with a safe and satisfying experience. In this session, attendees will learn why usability engineering must play a central role, and how a product's intended users and use environment, as well as regulatory imperatives, should drive design decisions. The session will include interactive activities related to identifying potential use errors and design mitigations.
