About the presenters

Jenny Collinson, research director, HFR&D
Jenny Collinson is a research director with Emergo by UL’s Human Factors Research and Design team, joining in 2021. Her deep medical device industry experience includes more than 15 years in both product development and human factors engineering roles. She completed a master’s degree in applied Ergonomics from the University of Nottingham. Collinson has experience in building HFE processes, integrating them into research and development activities, and creating robust human factors engineering strategies, validation plans and documentation that meet the requirements of regulatory bodies.


Yvonne Limpens, managing human factors specialist, HFR&D
Yvonne Limpens is a managing human factors specialist with Emergo by UL’s Human Factors Research & Design (HFR&D) team based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. She has been with the team since 2013 and has experience delivering HFE services to the medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. Limpens leads and oversees research activities and helps customers develop key HFE documents for their design history files. Furthermore, she advises and trains customers on how to apply HFE during product development to meet regulators' expectations. Limpens holds a B.S. in Industrial Design and an M.S. in Human Technology Interaction, both from Eindhoven University of Technology (NL).
